The UTG has a role in managing a number of grants funded through Yarra Ranges Council.

The UTG is the auspicing body for Council to assessed and award funding applications through the Yarra Ranges Grants for Community program which supports community-based projects that build the social and cultural life of the region. It is a platform for local groups, not-for-profit organisations and individuals to lead projects that identify and respond to community concerns and aspirations.

The UTG also takes a leading role in assessing and awarding funding for Council's Township Network Grants process which provides funding support to incorporated Township Groups to assist them in planning and delivering community focussed events.

If you'd like more information on Community Grants you can check out the Yarra Ranges Council website or contact us.

The UTG also works closely with surrounding township groups and other community organisations. We also sub lease our UTG Hall to community groups in need of space on a regular or irregular basis.  Click on the links below to find out more about these groups.
